Pounds to Euros - in hand.

Hi.
Just a quick question. I need to exchange a few pounds into Euros today.
Is there anywhere that offers a better rate than the others or are all they all pretty much the same (post office, bank, M&S, travel agents etc.)???
Normally I'd wait until I was at the destination and use my Nationwide card. But since they now charge anyway, it probably works out the same-ish.
Plus feel better having at least some of the local currency in my pocket - just in case my card 'doesn't work'.
Cheers!

For a "few" pounds into euros it really does not make any difference what rate you get in a bank or tesco...... it will only be pennies.....even £100 at two cents below par it will only be £1.60

To be honest, in my town, all the chains but one offer disgraceful rates, and that's The Money Shop (click here). However even they are beaten by a little shop called the brighton coin shop. If I were you I'd check a local independent shop.0
