Okay, who is bright and not half asleep? I've got toothache(gum issue me thinks gr) and it's affecting my head! https://www.morrisons.co.uk/Offers/Categories/Health-and-Beauty/ loreal creams, possible APG, but I can't seem to work out which is which on SADA?
If you've a late-night-chemist, can you rub some Oil of Cloves on it (or own-brand Toothache solution). Codeine's good for it but beware -it'san opiate and can't be taken for more that a couple of days IIRC -potentially addictive I suppose.;)

And less addictive but possibly more quacky- rub the earlobe on the side where the toothache is. An American Dental Association put this on a TV advert back on the 90s. Might be related to acupuncture though,

Best way is to pop it out with a flat knife, like a dinner knife... linky to a vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-sTyjZ_NMQ

Check the Poundland thread - in some stores you can find the refills for £1. Cheap way of replacing a busted lid :rotfl:

 Thought she was going to hurt herself but i laughed when the soap came out over her hands, I use a flat medium screwdriver to wedge it off or a small pair of scissors i would imagine the back of a spoon handle would work
  • And I've finally caught up yay!!! Good evening everyone :)

Happy Birthday Wirehair - hope you're having a lovely day.

Big thanks to the Aau1, COT and fuzzgun for the new glitch - I am in awe of you for working it out! Not sure my brain could take another glitch so soon........or can it? :D I have no need for any more shower gel or handwash at the present time since I'm literally tripping over all my Pears stuff but I suppose I could treat my OH to some Lynx, even if he has to go and get it himself :rotfl:

Been busy using up all my single carrots I seem to have acquired and made some frosted carrot squares. Here's a really easy peasy recipe if anyone else has some carrots??? Also works as muffins too.

    CARROT CAKESQUARES/CARROT CAKE MUFFINS WITH
    CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

    Ingredients

    · 200g carrots , peeled
    · 175g soft brown sugar
    · 200g self-raising flour
    · 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
    · 2 tsp cinnamon
    · zest 1 orange
    · 2 eggs
    · 150ml sunflower oil

    For the icing

    · 50g softened butter
    · 75g icing sugar
    · 200g soft cheese
    · sprinkles (optional)
I use some coloured fondant icing and make tiny carrots :o)

    1. Line an 18cm/20cm square tin (or 12 muffin cases/with muffin tray) with baking parchment. Turn the oven on to180C/160C fan/gas 4. Grate the carrots on the fine side of the grater, then tip them into a large bowl.

    2. Sift the sugar, flour, bicarb and cinnamon on top of the carrot, then add the orange zest and mix everything around a bit.

    3. Beat eggs then add them to the bowl along with the oil. Mix everything together well.

    4. Scoop the cake mix into your tin (cases) and level the top. Put it in the oven for 30 minutes or until thecake is cooked. Cool.

    5. To make the icing, mix the butter and icing sugar together, then stir in the soft cheese until smooth.

    6. When the cake is cool, spread the top with the icing and cut into squares. Decorate with sprinkles, if you like.

These are equally just as nice without any icing too.
