On a more constructive note Mrs Jagger - my husband was so sick of the constant reminders that he typed up a checklist for DD. The checklist is on the kichen table every morning while she eats and includes things like her glasses(she needs these to see the board!!), did she pull up bed, check all files in bag, homework in,pencil case in !!!!
While it seems awful to do this to a child - it has helped her and us - I dont have to do the constant reminders and fewer things get forgotten.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
tesco has has announced a lose in profits:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, i suppose the elite will get blamed for that :j as we all had a fling with mr sada.
we will be back soon tesco, as soon as we can find our kitchens!!life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
I think a lot of people have lost faith and trust in Tesco and just turned their back on it.
They devalued clubcard so now its just one point per pound takes twice as long to save for things you want and many things went from 4 times value to 3 or even 2 times value.
They stopped the wide spread use of MOCs - I shopped almost soley in Ts when the old glory days.
They started off with DTD but then rapidly dropped it to JTD and then they capped it and made the website as invisble as possible, no publicity and so much more difficult to do then APGs and far longer to get a result.
At one stage they tried to compete with Aldi and Lidl as being the best discount shop but no one took any notice of this - it was laughable.
I could go on.
I think though we are in the midst of a double dip recession far deeper than any politition will ever admit, we are going itno the 2nd winter of it now and I think a lot of familes are really struggling.Afternoon all
He he he just heard this on lunch news

Oh yes, I remember it well having two daughters.;)
With boys it's the laziness with girls you have the added bonus of hysterics :rotfl::rotfl:
My eldest DD is married and the youngest is at Uni but still living at home.
She's still a messy mare....but I just close her bedroom door and don't look at it.
It's her bathroom that totally does my head in....and I leave it so long, then can't bear to look at it any longer so cave in and clean it for her :mad:
All you mums feeling sad because their kids have left home.....don't know how lucky you are :rotfl::rotfl:
I can't wait for a bit of peace and quietMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
afternoon everyone! happy birthday msmoneypenny
hope you have a great day
just sat down, first time to catch up.
got home from work just gone midnight to find dd2, 2yrs old, wide awake with oh, and he had only put shrek on for her to watch:eek: nice calming down film, not. she finally fell asleep just after 2am.
took dd1 to school, then picked her back up at 11.30, as she is still not well
we are just going to slob out on the sofa and watch a film this afternoon, oh can get a takeaway tonight as we have a bomb sight of a kitchen, perfect excuse for me not to cook.
has any one any news regarding the little girl whos missing, dont like to put those news reports on when the young ones are around
I do the opposite, I show my ds1 whos 4 so hes aware of the world. He now says he'd kick their butt, run off like the gingerbread man:eek:
Ive got the reloaded coupon from their facebook page, but how have you guys got lots???? Are they unique bcThe art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0 -
Mrs_Jagger wrote: »Grrr: Feeling mad with my Ds aged 13. He is a bright boy who simply can't be bothered!!
Gripe 1: I had thought he had gone into year 9 with a better attitude. I just found his physics h/work dumped on the hall table (another gripe) and he has a U: 5/20. He is predicted A* and more than capable. This is the homework that got him a detention coz it wasn't handed in: Apparently he didn't hand it in as the teacher didn't collect any from his table! (Read the whole table were messing so didn't offer their booksup for colletction, so master taught them a lesson - I'm not completely daft!!) The detention meant he missed a school rugby match. His loss.
Gripe 2:Soooooo untidy. I went through his room with him on Wednesday of last week. On Monday I left clean, folded washing on his bed and told him to put it away. It is STILL on the bunk above his despite being asked about 6 times. All unfolded and rifled through.
Gripe 3: Wet, soggy bl***y towels!!AArrghh...how many towels can you fit on a bedroom floor??!!
i am hoping it's just a phase but I am already fed to the teeth of it. I know many of you have got through this stage but I just needed to SCREAM and you guys are the only people who listen!!!!!! He has a really quick wit, and always has a hilarious come back to any complaints; he really doesn't seem to take it seriously.
Help please!!! (Normally I'd grab a bar of choc but I am determined he is not ruining my diet!!!!!:))
Sounds so much like my daughter, I think its teenagers in general! I think you have to decide what battles you want to win as theres no way you can win them all! My focus is school work, if she won't do it herself her mobile phone is taken off her and internet turned off until it is completed. It soon gets finished to a good standard. As for the messy room, I close the bedroom door and leave her to it. When she wants certain clothing and can't find it, I just say if you put it in the wash box its been washed otherwise it must be in her room somewhere!0 -

Hi,
I had the same problem last night and gave up in the end! Hopefully you will suss it.
Sometimes I wish I was more techie. The mad thing is I have an A level in computers (many years ago) and now I know very little about them. I'm looking forward to when the kids can do things for me.:)0
