Gripe 1: I had thought he had gone into year 9 with a better attitude. I just found his physics h/work dumped on the hall table (another gripe) and he has a U: 5/20. He is predicted A* and more than capable. This is the homework that got him a detention coz it wasn't handed in: Apparently he didn't hand it in as the teacher didn't collect any from his table! (Read the whole table were messing so didn't offer their booksup for colletction, so master taught them a lesson - I'm not completely daft!!) The detention meant he missed a school rugby match. His loss.
Gripe 2:Soooooo untidy. I went through his room with him on Wednesday of last week. On Monday I left clean, folded washing on his bed and told him to put it away. It is STILL on the bunk above his despite being asked about 6 times. All unfolded and rifled through.
Gripe 3: Wet, soggy bl***y towels!!AArrghh...how many towels can you fit on a bedroom floor??!!
i am hoping it's just a phase but I am already fed to the teeth of it. I know many of you have got through this stage but I just needed to SCREAM and you guys are the only people who listen!!!!!! He has a really quick wit, and always has a hilarious come back to any complaints; he really doesn't seem to take it seriously.
Help please!!! (Normally I'd grab a bar of choc but I am determined he is not ruining my diet!!!!!:))
in my house the folded washing would now be on the floor, probably with a cat on it:D
No the soggy towel stage never goes...my OH is testament to that:o
sorry if that doesn't cheer you up:cool:0 -
My last body shop order has just been delivered.
I'm a bit disappointed with the reed diffusers. Just opened the Aloe and Soft Linen one and it doesn't have much fragrance.
Has anyone else got this one?
Does the scent get stronger given time or should I bung the plug back in the bottle and hope it won't leak if I give it someone for Xmas ?
Purdy I've got that one and didnt think it smelt much at first but I just turn the sticks round everyday and have it in a small room and it does give off a decent amount of smell;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

My son is 22 now and is very embarrassed at the scholarly "choices" he made and is trying to put it right with OU qualifications.
His girlfriend soon sorted out the wet towel thing lol when they started living together..You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
I just caught up and can't believe you are the only one to have asked this
My gut is telling me that darkvelv misunderstood the original question but I'm going to cross my fingers anyway
hmmm, well, yes.....as you know there are no flies on Locarr!!;)Wow you know a lot for a poster of just 7 posts. Where have you been Liverpool Lad?
To be fair to the lad, you don't have to be a an MSE'er to be a savvy shopper!:D
I'm signed up to various financial websites mailing list and it always makes me laugh when I get a mail "10 ways to save on your petrol" or "how to reduce your shopping bill" etc

Sadly not a phase and sadly very normal and it will probally get worse as they get older.
I focused on getting school work, course work and homework completed, handed in on time and to the best of their ability for every single piece - everything else took second place. If this was done I turned a blind eye to messy bedrooms, washing not brought down, washing up not done and socks/underwear not hung up etc, none of it as improtant as school work
Wet towels on the floor are another matter - when eldest son is home now he often has 3 showers a day and he tends to bring the towels down in vast clumps, a couple of days worth, usually when its either raining or all other washing done so I've nowhere to hang it upMrs_Jagger wrote: »Grrr: Feeling mad with my Ds aged 13. Just pictured half a dozen kids with emulsion dripping down their faces with a bemused look on their face:rotfl::rotfl:
Could very well be coming to this. wait for the kids to walk through the door just start attacking them with paint and feathers then send them back home to the parents :eek:You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in
