Gripe 1: I had thought he had gone into year 9 with a better attitude. I just found his physics h/work dumped on the hall table (another gripe) and he has a U: 5/20. He is predicted A* and more than capable. This is the homework that got him a detention coz it wasn't handed in: Apparently he didn't hand it in as the teacher didn't collect any from his table! (Read the whole table were messing so didn't offer their booksup for colletction, so master taught them a lesson - I'm not completely daft!!) The detention meant he missed a school rugby match. His loss.
Gripe 2:Soooooo untidy. I went through his room with him on Wednesday of last week. On Monday I left clean, folded washing on his bed and told him to put it away. It is STILL on the bunk above his despite being asked about 6 times. All unfolded and rifled through.
Gripe 3: Wet, soggy bl***y towels!!AArrghh...how many towels can you fit on a bedroom floor??!!
i am hoping it's just a phase but I am already fed to the teeth of it. I know many of you have got through this stage but I just needed to SCREAM and you guys are the only people who listen!!!!!! He has a really quick wit, and always has a hilarious come back to any complaints; he really doesn't seem to take it seriously.
Help please!!! (Normally I'd grab a bar of choc but I am determined he is not ruining my diet!!!!!:))
It IS just a phase. Sadly it lasts around fifty years for boysNo, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!

He will be having such a smashing time, he really will.
When my Ds finished uni he moved to London to work, he is still there just over four years later, but has now bought a house in Essex and he commutes in. He now lives 200 miles away, but he is home this weekend as it is his Dads 50th birthday.
So Budgie is looking forward to that and he has corporate tickets for the touring car at Silverstone for a suprise for his Dad, the tickets were so expensive but its a free bar, buffet etc and he has also booked us overnight accomodation.
So for once it will be a nice weekend.
Take care and big hugs (())

Sounds like you are in for a fabbie weekend:TEnjoy it you deserve it;)
I feel better everyday about DS, especially since I had a quick peek at his FB(He lets me be a friend but I'm not allowed to comment:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and Gawd knows how hes getting up in the morning, but he's obviously really enjoying himself! It's really strange though because even though hes 18 I didnt realise how much I did for him and I'm actually enjoying having all this spare time:oStill miss him like mad and get little wobbles and will get really excited when I see him, but I am determind to make the best of it:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Budgie I'm sure some fab Sainsbobs glitches will come along again soon.
We had the Palmolive hand washes which went on for a couple of weeks, original source shower gels glitched one evening taking two lots of discounts off, Smirnoff Ice was another and not forgetting the brilliant Bavaria Beer glitch a couple of months ago.
My nearest decent sized Tesco is 15 miles away so I love the Sainsbobs deals.
I don't recall ever having a co op glitch or a Morries one come to that.
Stick around...and join in the chat while we wait for the next biggie
Ooooooooh it does seem all rather exciting, and yes I can't wait for the next biggie. But hopefully it will not be like the apg glitch, don't get me wrong it was wonderful but didn't it take some getting used to.
I can sympathise how the thread turned into somewhere that did not feel comfortable to the regular posters though. Also I can see if newbies come in and kind of demand answers with no please or thankyou, it is very annoying. Of course this is not the case with all newbies, but I do feel please and thankyou go along way.
Btw I have been meaning to say for an age now, how much your signature makes me smile.
Also hugs (()) to NannyLala. xxx
Budgie xxxCherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home

Happy birthday Ms-Money-Penny:bdaycake:I hope you have a wonderful day.
I went in M's last night with the kids they both wandered off(13 &11) and came back giggling. I eventually asked why and DS says,"We found a box of mouse traps for sale and set some so when someone goes to get one it'll get them.":eek: I was glad I'd asked I went back and unset them as discreetly as I could.:D
Hope everyone has a great day.
