I've just been ticketed by this bunch, in spite of having a valid permit for Epic Studios. The area I normally park in was full, so I pulled into the next bay - they're saying this is reserved for another company but the only reference to this is an ancient sign saying I'llI'll be clamped and ave to pay £10 to release - and a generic NPE sign on the wall - no different from the one in the area I parked in before.

    Should I ignore or appeal?

EDIT - OLD ADVICE NO LONGER RELEVANT

    Complain to Epic Studios.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just got a £100 (!) ticket from NPE for "not parking wholly within bay". One of my rear wheels was on the white line between spaces. There was already a car in the next space and I was not obstructing them, it was a tight space to get into. I'm not paying it.

So i clearly need to go back and read this thread, but do I need to act or do I wait for them to chase me?

    thanks,

    Tony

You really need to start your own thread!

Bumping old/outdated threads gets confusing and will not get you the most up to date help and advice.

Also, you agreed to a clear no-bumping condition as part of your signup!

Don't get your coat, we want to help you on your own thread - but don't ignore this fake PCN. You posted on such an old thread that you have read OLD advice. We no longer ignore these.

Read current threads about appeals & POPLA - NOT this thread as it will confuse you with old ignore advice from 2012!

See you on page one of the forum with your own new thread asap, but do read some threads there first as well.

So you didn't even read the thread?

And there are many more recent NPE threads than this, which would have given you a much better idea of what to do!

This was a missed one, should have been one more company banned for 3 months because of their breach. Shame they got tipped off or read this thread before the dvla responded.

We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I was unfortunately scammed by these complete thugs last week. Driving the wrong way into the Earlham House car park. Notwithstanding all the advice I have read on this forum, which is very useful by the way, I have to call into question the reason WHY? this entrance/exit has been re designated to exit only? I have lived in Norwich all my life and have used this car-park on numerous occasions in that time. I see no reason at all why it should be so, in fact as its on a less busy thoroughfare surely it must be safer to do so. I have spoken to the supermarket manager for which this car park largely services and there have been numerous complaints about NPE. On the back of these complaints they are seeking MP's advice to get the practice stopped as it is affecting their business, as people shop elsewhere with no risk of being prosecuted for having dirty hubcaps or any other nonsensical offence they care to dream up. While I was there another guy walked in to complain about the same thing. On leaving I noticed a Tesco home delivery van do exactly what I did. He was impressed when I informed as to the reason I was there. One last thing about this site, the signage looks cheap and tacky. All of the signage around the whole site has been printed on corrugated plastic board and fastened in place with cable ties to any available upright post. The whole operation reeks of amateurism to say the very least. I have mailed my appeal letter based on the one I copied off the forum, with a few tweaks here and there (I left the Love and Kisses bit out) Thanks for the information. Also I would not only be happy about getting this charge quashed, but if there is anything that can be done to get these thugs stopped I'm up for it
    Yours GP:)
