Watch insurance

Anyone know a designated watch (or jewellery) insurer? I've just purchased 2 watches which I'd like insured with guaranteed valuation payout opposed to the usual market values they normally impose.

Add them onto your home insurance?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

If you want a proper insurance policy for your home and some valuables then look up insurers like Hiscox. I don't know if you can buy direct from them or if you have to use a broker.0

Hiscox does do jewellery insurance (http://www.hiscox.co.uk/personal-and-home/contents-insurance/jewellery-insurance/) but it is not fixed value but does include other unusual features such as loss of value post repair etc.
What sort of values are you talking about for the watches? Unless you are talking about very high values (and expecting equally high premiums) then you are unlikely to get anything as it'll be too small to get a Fine Art policy which can cover collectables like watches and can have fixed valuations0 -

Home insurance would generally be new for old rather than market value.
Are we talking about vintage/collectible watches that don't have a 'new' value as such?0 -
What value are they
these are new watches, 1 @ £2800 & 1 @ £3500
i want designated insurance for these not my house insurance, i have valuations obtained for the insurance but would rather have them insured by speciaists if this is possible. Anyone have experience with this. i'll have a lok as hiscox insurance0 -
I have Hiscox insurance and have our valuables on it.
I don't have to list any jewelry or watches because the single item limit is £15K.
Our possesions are insured anywhere in the world.
Hiscox are probably not the cheapest but if you have expensive stuff and want good service then they are the people to go with.0 -

I have a watch of similar value, and simply declare it to my home insurers as a separate item to be insured. It added around £30 to my premium. I don't see the point of using a specialist insurer to be honest. Just ensure you get the watches valued every ~2 years.0 -
I'll look into both aspects, can you specify guarantee valuation payout should anything happen?0

You should be able to add them to your home content insurance. My friend did that for her Rolex, and it was covered when she had burglary. And got a new Rolex from the insurance.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
