  • I'm waiting to get through now! I phoned when they opened at 8am and I'm still being thanked for waiting and being told that they haven't forgotten me.....mmmmm this I'd the fourth day running where I've tried to call them, a ring back is not convenient for me so where are their advisors? What rubbish service! Thank goodness I'm phoning to query an incorrect final bill.......once sorted I won't be using them again, that is for sure!!!!

    Has anyone tried using the online help I don't remember for sure but thought they had a live chat service? Never used it myself so I may be thinking of some other company, however the reason I have never used it is I have always found phoning them very quick regardless of the time of day never waiting more than a few minutes. For this reason I would suspect that they have some sort of issue occurring, but it has to be said that with them hiking the bills of so many people by adding the standing charge (40% increase for me!) It could well be that they are very busy with many people phoning to complain, ask about other tariffs or 7 days down the line they must be having a huge increase in load on the system filtering down from comparison sites with many people switching online.

    Peterlee is pretty rubbish to get to from Newcastle without a car but not impossible.
  • I was on hold for an hour and 25 minutes and 5 minutes before closing they answered and I was told they were closing and couldnt deal with my enquiry - and I owe them money so that makes no difference at all. I was fuming.
  • BBC s "Rip Off Britain " did a survey of waiting times on contacting suppliers the other week and Scottish Power were by far the worst. Has Scottish Power taken over as the worst of the big 6 now ?

    By looking at this forum Scottish Power do now the seem to be worst at answering the telephone. However I think npower is still worst at fixing problems they have created. However I am sure some SP customers will disagree.

    At the last vote, npower won the accolade of being the very worst for customer service in the UK, but Scottish Power were a close second. (Note that this is the worst from any industry not just from the energy industry, so worse than Rynair etc.) Sources:
