Npower- Customer Service how long have you waited

Well thought I would post my first post while still waiting to get through to Npower customer services help line.

Its been 50 mins and still waiting. I've had a shower and quick shave. Had my evening meal which I could cooked in the oven, gone into the forum to claim some freebies and now posting here.

Whats the longest you've waited and has anyone any tips on phone numbers to get through quicker or times to call.

"thank you for waiting we haven't forgotten about you and will help you as fast as we can"

Bet if I owe them money they would answer the phone. Muppits:mad:

Why not just press 1 and get them to call you back?
  • I rang them saturday morning and the wait time was between 18 and 21 minutes, but they had a facility to leave my name and number and the message said would call me back in turn .... and it did .... had a call from them within 20 minutes!

So that worked good for me.

in the week I get through in max 10 min
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Anywhere from 5 to 15mins

But call back works great and they are Geordies. Can't be mad at Geordies they all sound so happy and helpful. I'm only with them briefly as I just moved house to their supply but I applied to switch.

I am trying to call npower to tell them I'm moving house. Firstly time I got through after around 20 minutes. Unfortunately as it was 11 working days before my move they couldn't help me, I had to call back.

Since then I have called twice, first time I gave up after 30 minutes and the second time they dropped my call after 58 minutes.

This time, even though I am only 4 minutes outside their quietest time, their wait time is over 1 hour! Over 1 hour?! Absolutely ridiculous. I don't know anyone who has an hour to wait on the phone...

Their callback feature was brilliant, but it appears they only use it on certain options, mainly those that involve you paying them...so find one of those options and request a callback...SORTED.

This is my third day of trying inside their "quietest time" And yet again the waiting time is "more than one hour". I waited for more than an hour yesterday, but it did no good.

When you say you are "SORTED" does that mean you actually got a call back, or just that you successfully requested one? I didn't even find anywhere to request it. And I moved two days ago now.

I wonder if their system is down completely but they are not telling us. Has anyone got through recently?

Not only that, but if you do eventually get through you are then told that they can't deal with your problem and you should try again the next day. Like queue for another hour plus. No thanks. I've switched over to another energy supplier and cancelled Npower's DD so they can go whistle now if they think I'm going to pay them any more money. Ir's SORTED now

They aren't Geordies. That kind of comment could get you killed round here. Peterlee is not Newcastle. Not Newcastle at all.
