which car for best cabin space for a really tall guy and kids in the back
I am quite tall and have to have my seat all the way back and also reclined because my hands are quite long as well. I have a 3 year olds who sit behind me on boosters. Their feet usually dangle in the air because of the boosters so reclining back or even having the set back all the way, there is no room for my little ones. I need to drive quite cramped because of this. As a consequence, I need to get a car with big cabin space and loads of leg room in the back. I am lost for ideas as the only way to get any idea of space is to go out and actually view as many different cars etc.
With buying a car, I also need to consider fuel economy, reliability etc at a reasonable price. My budget is £3k for a used good condition diesel car.
Now I have been doing some research and come down to a couple of cars that I still need to view and check out the leg room.
Honda CRV 2002-2006 and Nissan X-trail 2001-2007
These cars seem to be at the top end of my budget and have decent ratings, fuel economy and road tax. Insurance would be manageable too I guess.
The reason for this post is to get some first hand advice on cars that have a considerable about of leg room in the back that I can consider. Comfort and fuel economy is key for me. If there is anything better I should be considering, please share your ideas.
I don't necessarily need a 4x4 but they seem to be most generous with space.
Thanks

Worried Jim, thanks for your unhelpful advice.0

CRV is meant to be a great car. Depends what you need it to do really. The fuel consumption will never be as good as a regualr car.
Worth looking at things like the Citroen Berlingo et al. Not the funkiest but certainly roomy and with plenty of storage too.

Oh my god, berlingo?0

Yes. Does what you asked! You can't moan at Jim and then complain when someone answers seriously!

Just push the seat back until you are comfortable, they will soon move their legs out the way. Every car we have I drive with the seat fully back and the kids have to fit in.0
