Help!! eBay buyer threatening court action

Has he threatened you with harm at all? Or made threats to "come round with some mates" or something similar?
Is he still harassing you? Sending you emails, texts, phonecalls etc. ?
If so, go right ahead and report to the police. If not, there's nothing for them to be involved in."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
I have no plans to take the car back, but I am curious. How would this work if I have already sent off the V5 with new owner details?0

Thanks again to everyone for their help on this forum.
The court action was clearly a bluff as after 2 weeks on I have heard nothing. So I am now just looking to get the negative feedback removed as I see it as unfair.
Many people here told me the negative feedback would not be a problem to get removed as buyer used feedback extortion. So I contacted eBay and reported it as negative feedback extortion, but they have refused to remove it. They gave me following 2 options:
1. To get consent from the buyer (which is not an option for me)
2. Raise unpaid item dispute and it will be automatically removed 4 days after case is closed.
So option 2 appears to be only way forward for me. Please give me your thoughts...0 -

You can't do #2 because he has paid. You're asking for trouble if you try it.They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
I know this seems to be semi-sorted now.
But as said previously, i'd say he was trying it on!
"Got home and heard a rattle, found the cambelt was stripped"
If the cambelt had jumped 2-3teeth it would hardly run, if at all. Never mind with a stripped belt.
You are not going to hear a rattle, switch the engine off, and then find the cambelts wrecked.
Sounds like he was just trying to cash in on the fact you said the cambelt hadn't been done....0 -
The 2 options i mentioned in my previous message was suggested by eBay. Not sure why they suggested option 2 as buyer has paid, so i Won't proceed with any of these.

Please advise how should proceed with eBay...I think need to go back and make a better case for negative feedback extortion. But the eBay advisor only took a 2 mins to come back, so I don't think he would have gone through my messages with buyer0 -
From the options ebay have given, I suspect they think the buyer hasn't paid. As it was a motor I suspect it was cash on collection. Unless you marked it as paid, ebay will think it is unpaid. When you asked for the feedback to be removed they have looked at the transaction, saw the neg, saw buyer hasn't paid and not looked at the detail. I suspect this is why they have given you those options.
What to do? You need to get ebay to look at the messages around the transaction and to understand the buyer paid on collection. I'm not sure the best way to go about this, as I know how difficult it can be to get them to understand.0 -
Give eBay customer support at
Ring tell them he said he would give you beg feedback unless you gave him some money and you can't do both optionsNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -
You either need to ring or send a very simple email (2 lines) as in my experience a lot of the cs staff are quite slow! Word it pretty much as above ^
My buyer said he would leave me neg feeback unless i gave him x amount of money back for the car. I refused his threat and he has left me a neg-please can you look into this for me.
I had to email 3 different people before i got a recent neg removed from a non payer. You have to keep on at them!0
