Good 2nd hand smartphones £80 - £100 and where to buy?

I've been Money Tipped!
I have a friend in Cambodia who is wanting a 2nd hand smartphone to look more business like in order to help grow his start up.

He "wants" an iphone 4, but too expensive in Cambodia - price is comparable to 2nd hand UK price.

I'm trying to look for reliable handsets which haven't aged too much and which browse and get email at a reasonable speed. I have a Galaxy Apollo and I find it a little slow, so something faster than that would be good.

Any suggestions that I should look at for him? And where else is there besides ebay to buy 2nd hand phones? Any reputable sites you can recommend to buy from?

Thanks

There are specialist electronics stores selling second hand goods in many towns. I was looking locally today and they had a huge range of phones from iPhones at £400+ down to basic phones at £20 or so. It may also be worth checking mobile shops as that price will get you a reasonable new handset too that is sim-free.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

It is possibly good looking and fast, but I don't think it's the one that helps to "look more business like". iPhone is No1 for those wanting to "look like". It doesn't have to be in a full working order for this purpose.

He just has to look like he is calling and speaking.
Also, when saying "not in full working order" I meant that it was capable of making calls.
  • you can buy from Ebay.
  • When I get a message which ends with 'sent from my iphone', I think 'you pretentious git....'

tbh I set up my own business nearly 4 years ago, think I had a payg sony t303 at that point, never had an iphone and managed to keep going - can't think what phones any clients or colleagues have either! As long as they can get calls and texts (maybe email too) then that will be business-like enough for most people doing business!
