  • xx jo xx £20 sounds lots for electricity, but don't know how many of you there are. I pay £65 per month all in, we dont have gas and that includes storage heaters, which is half what you are paying and i think it will be less now, as the kids have flown. have you seen the £7 per week on meals for 2 people thread, there are some good suggestions. Good luck with it all. I would have reported the (fairweather) friend who did that, im sure they have security cameras where she spent some of it to prove it was her.

    oh the sun has come out.

    Been to town (by bike as you can buy less shoppping)! Got a bargain shirt for DS2 for school so if he likes it he will now have 6 and got some socks as a stocking filler for DS1.

    Going to put Washing on the line now and get DS1 to empty the DW then paperwork city here I come.

    I'm in for today - but mainly concentrating on the kitchen as I want to have a really good clear out.

    Tuesday - Kitchen & Dining Room
    Level One

    Clear and wipe surfaces
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe dining table
    Clear floors
    Level Three
    Mop & hoover floors
    Wash any pet bedding/clean out any pets
    [STRIKE]Clean microwave[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    [STRIKE]Wipe & water plants[/STRIKE] Easy one - we don't have any :D
    Clear a hotspot
    Wipe out fridge


    I am also going to:

    * Clean oven (the oven pride should be working its magic whilst I am at work...)
    * Declutter >all< surfaces - which in turn means decluttering some of the cupboards to find more space to store things.
    * Wash curtains
    * Wash light fitting down
    * Wash extractor down and replace grease filter / carbon
    * Clean bin
    * Descale kettle
    * Polish up all stainless steel things

    Been to work, fed DH and decluttered him back to work so just going to catch up on what ive missed and check a few emails then will start flying again

    new emails checked and deleted
    glass taken down bottle bank
    letter posted
    bread bought
    washing up done
    microwave clean out - only needed a wipe as i did it last week.

    HHC starting at 3pm

    my 3pm HHC ended up lasting an hour but the mending pile is now clear.
    1 shirt button back on
    split seam on DD2s cardi mended
    4 split gusset seams on trousers sewn
    a zip replaced
    thank heavens for sewing machines, would have taken much longer by hand;)

    Had a text last night asking if I could work all week, so not long in.........feel really tired but must get some bits done, the house is slowly deterioating........HHC in one of the kitchen hotspots......NOW........

    almost put the sewing machine away then found a pair of jeans DD had with a broken zip so replaced that and now DS2 has come home with another split seam in his school trousers so going to do that next to get it all sorted.

    Well I had quite a productive hour before lunch earlier, managed quite a bit off the lists. I have since been for a cuppa with a friend and now I'm just about to make a start on dinner. I will try to get more list stuff done whilst dinner is cooking.

    amyloofoo - what kind of cake did you bake? I am just learning to bake and have so far mastered blueberry muffins and a victoria sandwich cake.
