As already posted in another thread by someone else, the website currently states:

"By parking on land, we patrol, drivers (and, under the proposed new Freedom Bill, the Registered Keeper) enter into a contract as indicated on our signs"

If they can state a blatant lie like that I wouldn't believe anything else on their website.

That exact phrase.has been reported to the dvla amongst other things on their website.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Was that the one where the disabled man couldn't attend as he was ill in hospital?

yes i think so. what i am trying to get at is if they won those cases (one dated this month) why dont they try and take more to court. I mean whats to stop them taking every case to court and if they lose what do they actully lose.
I am wondering cos will they take me to court.
Are there any figures where they have gone to court and not won because the defendant attended.
The word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:

Thanks for the confirmation, I admit to being too lazy to search :)

If they lose they don't get the money it cost them to bring it to the court, if they win they still don't get what it costs them to bring it, like time and hotel costs that they cannot add to the costs. The reason why they don't bring cases is because it costs more than what they get back. Trust us these are default judgements

There is one case that UKCPS won (for about £300) but the judge said that the driver could pay it back at £5 a month. So Hasbeen will have to wait 60 months to get all his money.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Yeah I remember that one, he was on here harping on about his win, when the defendant turned up and said he's paying £5 a month Pete made a hasty retreat lol

ok thx guys and girls. been reading couple of posts from CAG and Pepio. So at worst case could go to court and would and if lost would pay the ticket?
But have many ways in defence so their chances of winning not great and the actual chance of going court is minimal. the ones on the UKCPS website that they won were for non attenders.

That basically sums up the position, yes. There's much more chance of winning the lottery than losing against a PPC in a Small Claim as 99.9% never go there. They know if they did they'd lose and they do not have the nous to know the process, it's not worth it for them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Its normally well chosen cases which end up in court. There is normally something they have that they believe gives them the edge.

I remember 1 on CAG were someone appealed to UKCPS and when his appeal was declined he posted up on CAG asking what to do.
Heswell posted back saying he would issue a claim if he ignored it.

He ignored it, and received a claim. Heswell dragged himself down from Leeds to Worcester and lost and was sent home!

There was another on Pepipoo were he produced the forum posts, That was the one were he is getting £5 per month. With this one I don't think the defendant done himself much good with his posts and his attitude.

Basically if its ignored and not identifiable then it is probably never going near a court.

I have noticed that UKCPS have removed the 22 default cases from their website they had posted up.
