I feel blessed that my hours at work have just increased but if they hadn't, I would have been up !!!!!! creek without a paddle.

There is going to be serious trouble ahead IMO as we all know people are already really struggling.

    Makes me

went to Mr T's today for some dried mixed herbs, just their value range, and guess what they are up in price from 19p to 99p!! where is the justice in that?? the tub is a little bigger30g instead of 18g, but I would rather they kept the tub smaller and the price lower. how can they justify such a huge price hike on on item, needless to say I won't be throwing them willy nilly into everything I cook from now on! have herbs suddenly become scarce or something??
Asda still have theirs at 19p but their smart price custard has gone from 6p to 14p that is a 133% price hike

There's some great blogs out there...probably too many but here's one with ways to save money on food and in other ways...

  • Wow...scary reading or what.

I think I need to get myself a bread maker, some hens in the garden (for meat and eggs) an dig over as much of the grass as I can.
I think if the price of ethically produced meat goes through the roof, I will go mainly veggie, and just neck a hen when we need it.

Sad thing is, it will be those who are already scrabbling for every spare penny and struggling who will feel the pain even more.
