Alternatives to Giffgaff??

Hi there,
I know this will be a shocker, but I am looking for suggestions on other networks payg type services. I love Giffgaff, but i'm struggling for signal. Are there any other offerings out there on par with Giffgaff, but preferably not on the O2 network. I've already discounted Ovivo on the basis that I would be transferring my main number and not willing to risk disconnection if Ovivo's business model fails.
Thanks,
Rich

  • It sounds like you need coverage in places without o2 3G. Try a PAYG "3" SIM, with your main SIM in another phone and see how you get on.

They have various deals which may suit depending on what you need.

Virgin Mobile SIM only. use t-Mobile (EE?) and, whisper it because they don't seem keen to publicise it, they allow tethering on their data allowances. 30 day rolling contracts.

PS Check the coverage in your area first, of course.

That said, you're probably better off with a 1 month sim only from either Three or Virgin, they're the only ones aside from giffgaff who will give you unlimited data for around the £12 mark.

Unless you really need unlimited data, just go for Ovivo!

Even if they fail in a year or so (and I doubt it), you can just port out if/when it happens.

In the meantime you save loads of £s.

I pay £0 per month and this suits me fine. :D

Asda mobile are doing some great bundle deals at the moment on their sim only deals.

£10 a month can get you 100 mins, 100 mbs and unlimited texts
£15 a month can get you 250 mins, 250 mbs and unlimited texts
£20 a month can get you 500 mins, 500 mbs and unlimited texts

Or you can do an anytime any network deal 10p a minute and 6p per text

I'll probably go with virgin PAYG. 100 mins, unlimited texts, and you keep your £10 original top up as well. I'm with virgin though with broadband, and that's on their addict extra tariff.
