There is some info to be found on the internet about it people upgrading to iSO6 and not being able to make calls. However I can't see anything specifically about Orange.
Probably best to call Orange.

Nope still no service.0 -
Resolved now, my phone had been blocked by orange as it had been reported lost or stolen - which it never has - reading between the lines it was some sort of !!!! up with the ee switch over.0
