  • I had a clear out today... I was ruthless with my make-up bag and binned anything I don't enjoy using, doesn't suit me or is past it's best. So 6 out:

Ecotools bamboo foundation brush - washed too many times and bristles falling out. I'll be replacing with something else because I prefer applying foundation with a brush.
Benefit stay don’t stray - not the right colour for my skin tone
The Body Shop eye definer 10 - 80s colour!
Rimmel renew & life brightening powder - years old
No7 anniversary eye trio flirty 50s - doesn't apply well
No7 amazing eyes liner 10 brown - too hard to apply without hurting my lids

    Total items left: 97
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.
  • I have been resisting the urge to celebrate, as on Monday I finally qualified as a solicitor, after 6 years of persisting. I'm trying very very hard not to go on a spree, as I usually would :T
    Congratulations k2703.gif
Saw the LE TSV yesterday but wasn't swayed at all, £55 with the postage seemed pretty pricy to me! I know I'm not keen on the shampoo so this probably helped my resolve

Well done - I managed to stay strong right up to midnight too - same reason, not keen on the haircare.

And to finsih off the weekend - a UU:

L'Occitane clementine soap - L'Occ are my HG soaps - I love the way they don't turn into mush in the soap dish. Have lots more in the stash to UU before even thinking about buying more...
  • Well I have one UU to report.

In the interests of getting the ball rolling I used my sample of bb undressing creme. Was free but WNBA as it transformed my
Soft fine hair in to rock hard, sticky yukness. I'm sure it was just my application but I do require idiot proof hair products.

Sigh... Going to have to wash my hair again tomorrow to get this crap out...

    PPI Party Pooper
    Hi All,

I've been reading along but not posted for a while so a few UU and one IN to declare.

Our community is absolute shock at the moment due to the fire which killed four innocent people on Fri night, three of whom just babies. It was literally just up the road from where I live and I know some of those affected, to think it's suspected to have been deliberate is just absolutely unthinkable, so so sad. Puts my trivial problems into sharp perspective.

My UU from the last few days are:

Scholl Foot & Nail Cream - WMBA - definitely softened the hard skin at my heels from too much flip flop, ballet pump wearing and continually padding around the house bare foot but not convinced it was any better than a standard moisturiser would be. I've a few more foot creams to use up and then I think I'll just try vaseline and bed socks that I read about on another thread - money saving tips or something like that I think it was, some very interesting stuff on there.

REN Active 7 Eye Gel - second tube I've used, this one was a larger sample, feels nice and refreshing but not convinced it actually does much - doubt I'd buy again.

Balance Me Face Wash - Again, second tube I've used of this - really like it, although my face seemed a little irritated the first time I used it, it was fine after that. Very refreshing in the morning - WBA

No. 7 Cleanse & Care Makeup Remover - Effective and not too oily as I find many eye makeup removers - WBA

REN Mayblossom Balancing Cleansing Gel - Again, like the Balance Me face wash, my skin was a little irritated on first application but calmed down again after that. It clearly doesn't like change, a bit tough when I've a stash of all kinds to get through!! WNBA on the basis that I much prefer Liz Earle C&P and they're a similar price.

REN Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream - Fine but nothing to warrant its price tag for me - WNBA but would happily use a freebie

That leads onto the IN - not unnecessary as I'm all out of moisturiser having finally worked through all the minis I'd collected :o Was planning on getting Garnier Ultralift but given that I'm trying to be ultra thrifty at the moment which really is a necessity after hols and before Christmas, I thought I'd see what HB had in. Got Neutrogena Multi-Defence Daily Moisturiser 50ml for the bargain price of £1.99 (£7.99 in Boots) so hopefully I'll like it!

Hope everyone is ok, Ems xx
