CheersThe difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits. - Einstein0 -
My local one has one skip for inerts (like old tiles) and another different one for plasterboard. They like 'em separate these days.
Cheers
Same here - one for rubble/tiles etc and one for plasterboard. I don't think they would let you put it in the 'non-recyclable' skip.
I would go with wetting it to break it up more easily.
You could bag it up in black bags and put it out for collection over more than one week, but I don't tend to do that with heavy stuff like tiles etc, seems cheeky. Though I did put about 30 bags of old loft insulation out over the space of a few weeksSolar install June 2022, Bath

Had the same problem last year but only 2 boards. Left them old side for the weather to get to them and then the tiles peeled off. boxed the tiles and bits of plaster and bagged the paper both went to the recycling centre.0

Don't do that, it is anti-social, and plain wrong.
I'm perfectly serious. The guy has tried hard to do the right thing and been blanked by some Jobsworth.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

i thought along with a few others i bet that you were joking which is why i didn't comment, but you aren't.
OMG what a stupid thing to say no wonder this country is going to pot & this green & pleasant land is being destroyed by idiots like you.
maybe we should dump all our old rubbish in your front garden & let you fly tip it.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

their garden will already be full of old mattresses bin bags of rubbish fridges and calor gas bottles
i often see rows of streets in this state even after the council spent millions of our money regenerating the area and giving them an inside pot to puss in0 -

Leave the stuff outside in the rain, the tiles will fall off on their own in no time. As you would know if you had ever had a cistern leaking behind the tiles. In any event, if the plaster boards and tiles were broken up and bagged, who the hell would know what you were dumping at the amenity tip.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
