Is this on all the doors or just some?

It's not a major issue to redrill the carcasses if you need to.

  • It's all very well but we have saved hard for this kitchen and why should we have to re drill all the holes ourselves. More time and if we had paid a fitter we would of had to pay them more to do this. Is this normal for a howdens then?

It's on all the doors and we have 17 of them!

Have you loosened the two screws which fix the hinge to the carcass and adjust the position of the hinge?

Have you tried fitting the hinges to the doors first and then to the carcass?

You haven't got things upside down and the wrong way round have you?

Can you post up a pic of the problem?

    Cheers

It's unlikely that all 17 are wrong. Did you get an Installation Manual from Howdens? This gives full instructions and maybe the answer to your problem.

Don't know how to load a picture!

If you look at the metal hinge it's got the straight bit across the top with the holes in to fit the screws into. When you put this metal hinge into the circle in the door you cannot see the Pre drilled holes under the metal hinge If you turn the hinge around a bit you can see one hole but not the other. It seems that either the hinges are incorrect or they have been drilled wrong. Has anyone experienced this before?
