Returning Cheese to Asda?

Good morning everyone!
I have a question on returning some unused items to Asda, having looked at their refund policy it is unclear, so thought I would ask here.
Yesterday I brought a number of items , larger, cheese biscuits and a selection of cheese. (unopened) To cut a long story short , the items never got used and i am really not going to be able to consume all the cheese myself. (Diet beckons).
Am I able to return items , as changed my mind or no longer required. I did think that I couldn't return cheese. However looking at their refund policy, nothing is mentioned to say what food is excluded.
I did plan to post the url to the Asda refund policy, but can't as i'm a new user! Sorry
Thanks everyone.

Not sure about Asda but Tesco won't accept dairy items being returned after two hours as they can't be sure they have been refrigerated all that time.0

Chilled items are always excluded from change of mind policies. The item is no longer resaleable and will have to be thrown away if accepted back. There is no such thing as a 2 hour rule and if Tesco do that it's goodwill and I hope they are throwing the items away anything else is unacceptable. It will be store dependant though if they do accept or not, chances are very slim though.0

I've returned chilled items to Tesco before (honestly picked up the wrong ones) they said they would be written off as they couldn't re-sell them but still gave me the full refund.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Cheese is allowed on a diet. Just not the whole pack. I've frozen hard cheeses before. They're fine.0

That's the quality assurance guarantee ie tried something don't like it. OP wants to return under change of mind which is different. We can discuss all we want here as I said it will be at the individual stores discretion if the item can be returned.
Some managers allow it, some are more concerned with P+L which returning a chilled item to throw it in the bin is definitely a loss when there is no fault on the side of Asda.0 -
Someone trying to return leftovers from a party!
You can freeze certain types of cheese or give it to family or a neighbour, along with any left over lager as presumably you wont be drinking that on your diet either.0
