Actually Millliband said he would tax bankers bonuses and the money would be used on getting young people into jobs and on building housing. He was then asked how much it would raise and he said it would raise "£2 billion"....
Right. Typical bu11sh1t then.
It is the mark of a good interviewer that the politician wouldn't even dare say stupid things like that, let alone dare say it and remain unchallenged by it.
Expressions that make me cringe include:- .... with the money we would 'help'....
- .... we would 'put more money into'....
- .... taxing bankers' bonuses could stop this poverty....

Slight flaw - that part of the population wouldn't hear or read the stupidity that Milliband pedalled as they aren't interested in politics and they also don't vote.
Milliband's speech was aimed at the party faithful as it's the Labour party conference this week. ( The Torys are next week so William Hague may be speaking soon. )
I have no idea why Marr didn't rip him apart but then he may have faced a complaint of bias from the party faithful.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Back to topic!
BBC interviewers need to be reminded that they are not part of 'show business' - they are part of a tax-funded 'information service'
Radio4's Today presenters, and the idiot female on 'You and Yours' who precedes every comment with 'sorry to interrupt you but...' need to be re-trained
TruckerTAccording to Clapton, I am a totally ignorant idiot.0 -

Marr's nickname at university was Red Andy.
The only BBC interviewer who would drift far enough from the 'progressive' (sic) consensus at the corporation to poke holes in Milliband's waffle is Andrew Neil.0 -

I am never going to vote for Milliband even though I find him a decent bloke, and I think he is quite sharp, caring and he answers question quite well.
But Bloody Andrew Marr constantly talks over the people he is trying to interview, he never listens and while his guest is talking you can see him nervously aching to get the next question in, and when he does he interupts again.
I really would like to hear what Milliband has to say, I truely think he is an interlectual with a good mind..
Just shut the **** up Marr, and let him talk
Bring back David Frost on sunday morning
Does Andrew Marr have a twitter account? Perhaps you can let him know how you feel, a bit of direct feedback. Certainly worked on Grant Shapps- he didn't last long after you started abusing I mean advising him.0 -

In my opinion, people who make up stories on an Internet forum also have a bit of "growing up" to do.

Couldn't agree more.
And that's exactly what Cameron said when he phoned me for some advice this morning. Then after my constitutional in the pub, where Boris insisted on buying me a pint, he said the same. Alan Greenspan and Mervyn King heard I was there and came in to ask me about fiscal easing and blow me down if that's what they said as well.0
