Well it seems that Miliband is talking more sense than the coalition on banking reform. Retail & investment banks DO need to be split.

Really? Miliband's proposals will only be made if the actions for the coalition do not get carried out. The coalition have given the banks until 2019. All he has said is that he would do it in 2015. However, that is unlikely to happen given the time legislation would need to be enacted and the preparation that needs to be in place to allow the split to occur. A date of 2019 would not be an unrealistic implementation date of any finance act requirements.

I really would like to hear what Milliband has to say, I truely think he is an interlectual with a good mind..

Just shut the **** up Marr, and let him talk
Strangely enough, I was thinking the exact opposite as watched this morning. As in "Andrew Marr, plse stop Millipede from talking as the sound of his voice is really irritating me". And I'm a true lefty.

Being a socialist then you can't be too happy that the Unions voted him in as leader in the first place?

That's my generic response whenever William Hague is being interviewed. Unfortunately, that's quite often as he's an MP in my county :D

    For crying out loud!!

Just for this one peacfeul relaxing sunday morning give it a rest.
This is not even on the topic of housing, why do you have to put a damper on every single thread, even one like this that is just a little bit of sunday morning banter.
Look Julie, I know you have strong views on Immigration because of your situation, but this topic is not even relevant to your enbittered views.

I would never vote BNP in a million years, I hate the party and all they stand for, but of course that is not what you want to hear is it.

Nearly everyone of you posts since you re joined after being banned or just given up on your last username(which is fine) have been on the topic of me or GD, you have not made one single post contributing anything to the discussion of property, 99% of your posts are personal rants. Nearly all my posts are property related without a mention of other posters(except occasionally giving a little return lip) by the way, even if they are all totally b****x

I am so sorry that you are might be in a financial mess because of the present state of the property market, and I can also see why estate agents like Wotsthat might be feeling very angry and lashing out, but why don't you guys just talk about your money problems on here rather than take it out on strangers you know nothing about except the message they give that you hate.

It's a lovely sunday out there, take a day off from your anger:)

I didn't read all of your post but I'm guessing I was right about UKIP.

    Oh and stop crying.

  • I do not get up early enough on a Sunday morning to hear this sort of tripe.

So I will give my frank and honest opinion of the interview without having heard a word:

Marr was his usual self-seeking self trying to get his own analysis of the situation into his ultra long questions.

Milliband was totally evasive, never answering the question directly, but kept saying woolly things like .....introduce 50% tax and use the money to 'put people to work' [whatever that means!]

    Absolutely appalling all round!

Actually Millliband said he would tax bankers bonuses and the money would be used on getting young people into jobs and on building housing. He was then asked how much it would raise and he said it would raise "£2 billion".

    Absolutely appalling all round!
Marr then changed subject and at that point I left the room laughing thinking both were idiots.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
