DAB or Internet Radio

Our DAB radio has packed in, so we need a new one, as we like the radio station LBC despite being far from London.
I was going to get a new DAB but was told about internet radios by a friend. I had never head of these, although I have listened to overseas stations on the computer, just for a laugh really. My wife is from South Africa, and on the odd occasion we have listened to one of the stations from CapeTown. This is not essential .. my wife lives here now, so England is her home, not SA. If she was that interested in SA, she would be living there.
Anyway, are internet radios any good ?
If they are not too expensive, maybe their benefits over plain old DAB would be worth considering
I would like a sleep timer too, as we listen to the late night phone-ins and don't want the radio on ll night.
What are the bes options for internet radios ?
What are the best options for DAB ?
Many thanks !

Internet radios stream off your wireless router.
How dependable is your internet? If your internet goes down then so will your radio.
How good is your DAB signal? If your reception is not great then this will improve that.
Personally we just stick with DAB, but we do get a good signal. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Pure Evoke Flow will cover all bases. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

There are plenty of combined DAB/internet boxes out there - try Pure. Then you get both.0

Nice combined ones from Pure start at around £90, they even do a white one.0

Thank you for your answers0

Why not just use your computer/laptop ?
You get get thousands of stations for nothing0 -
DAB is a waste of space, they do not bother with this type of broadcasting in most other countries.
A good internet radio will bring the rest of the world into your life.
The only problem is who wants to hear the radio station on the falkland islands - its very boring.
I suppose internet radio is best when used abroad in order to get all the BBC broadcasts live.:T0 -
I listen to the Falklands Island radio on a regular basis due to the fact it played a very important part in my life and thousands of other British service personnel.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0
