I've got £116 accumulated in my valued opinions  Been saving it up in the hope that they'll issue cheques for rewards some day. I've ordered £10 sainsburys voucher from them and still waiting for it since 2 weeks. :/

Eeek, I wouldn't save up too much.
I used to be like that, as I liked that things could accumulate so I could redeem in one big go when I wanted it for something, as then I'd notice the money more than just using it in little bits here and there.

Where do you normally do your food shopping? If it's Sainsbury's, why not get more Sainsbury's vouchers, then when you use them, set the cash aside, as you would have had to spend this on the shopping anyway. That way, it's like you've been given the cash instead of vouchers.
Or any of the shops you can get them for, the same applies if there is something you were going to have to spend money on anyway (Boots, Argos etc??)

I only say this as I'm very cautious now about letting points or balances accumulate on a website, as you just never know what might happen. Luckily, the only time it happened to me was with a site where I only had about £6 worth of points, but it went bust and closed down, so I lost it. (Can't even remember which site it was now!)
I like to know that the vouchers are in my hand as soon as possible, so I just tuck the away hidden at home now instead to accumulate them.
There are some exceptions to this, where I don't cash out as soon as I can, if it's worth more to wait for a higher redemption, but even then I don't tend to wait for the best value one if it's a lot higher, just in case.

Have to say i completely agree with this - I was lucky enough to get my account and earnings back after it was closed with over £100 of vouchers in it - you really never know with sites, even the most reliable ones can face the unexpected and go under so be sensible with them guys - my rule - if i can't afford to lose it i don't risk it!

    Morning guys :D

Took a few days out from mse, taking over my life! (which isn't a bad thing but I had 1 pair of clean pants left!)

Went to tesco and bought some mcvities victoria biscuits from the biscuit isle for £2.50, in Xmas isle they were £6. I had a hand held scanner and they scanned at £2.50 but on the self scan tills they went through at £6 :D so a nice £7 DTD to add :D I'm going to pop over again today, see if I can pick up some £1 cheese, doubtful. Anyway, hope the money making goin well, it's not for me! I bought some leather boots from M&S yesterday, great reviews and perfect for fat legs, but cost me £89!! In my defence, they'll last me a couple years and I used £55 worth of vouchers. Not so bad.... :o
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**
  • Wombling is totally addictive, I wish I had a three year old to pick them up to save embarrassment haha! :rotfl:I can now add 13.90 from yesterday as I covered a class at the gym, I'm fuming now though as I had a letter this morning saying that our pay is being cut to 9.32 an hour, now I appreciate this is still an excellent hourly rate, but for a fitness instructor this is VERY poor as you are limited to times you can teach and all the prep that goes into my classes its not worth it for this money, so I'm stuck as to what to do now...hmmm..

Im bailing out of the challenge this month. Work is just so crazy at mo haven't got time to do anything else. I will keep checking in to see how your all doing. I'm quite stressed with work at mo and nearly had a little cry today cos I feel how ever much I complete twice as much is still left. I think if I just concentrate on work in work hours and then chill out the rest of the time I will get through the next 6 weeks without cracking up.
Me too....hanging my head in shame at my current sig :o:(

Just concentrate on bringing in as much as you can, some is better than none anyway, even if it is just wombling and roadkill. OOOh speaking of, I cleaned the sofa today and found a pound down the back so I'm adding that! :A

  • Hey everyone, I am new to the site and found my way to this great thread.

I am very interested in getting involved in this but would like some assistance if possible?

What is cashback? I have seen it around everywhere but dont understand how it works lol If someone could put it in dumb man terms that would be great.

Can someone be so kind to post links to sites that offer things I can do to earn cash etc?

I do have limitations though. I dont have a paypal account and wont be able to get one. I had a claim put in on ebay and I lost the case (When I shouldnt have and it was for £300 so I refused to pay it as the buyer has both the item and my money) So if things require a paypal account no point listing it as I wont be able to do it.

Just trying to get to grips on how you actually get real £ from doing what you do.

I understand the with finding cheaper items in the wild etc.

Im not asking for someone to hold my hand as I will be reading about and trying to work it out but if someone could give me a boost as I seem to pick things up better when im shown a little before hand.

    Thank you :-)

    Hi Brighteyed.

You must must MUST!! use a cash back site if your buying online :D

Think thats rule number 4 of the MSEers guide :rotfl:

Cash back is money you recieve from shopping through a cashback site, topcashback and quidco are the most popular sites to use. you can earn cash by comparing your insurances through the sites, you can earn cash by just signing up for free trails love film and netflix for example. and in many more ways :)

So basically you need to sign up to the sites and then whenever you are looking to buy something, sign into the cashback site and search for what it is you want, click on the links on the cash back site and it will take you to the shop you want to buy from, say argos and then you just shop as normal, once the purchase has registed with the cashback site, normally takes a few weeks (but sometimes can be longer) it will show in you cashback account and then you can build it up to the withdrawal level , which isn't loads. i had almost £200 in cashback last year and i very rarely buy stuff, so it soon builds up :)

I use topcashback mainly and have sent you a referral link, but i dont use quidco much so im sure someone else could send you a link for there :)

You can get paid directly into your bank, or chose vouchers, or paypal (although you dont have an account now)
Build your own dreams ~ or someone will hire you to help build theirs
