Quick update:

Decided to call the "customer liaision team" (instead of customer services), and they were a bit more helpful. In fact I'm very glad I did as they told me that not only was the £15 showing as a credit, but I had also received a credit of over £100 regarding an unrelated matter. They are going to issue me a cheque for the full amount. :j

Re: the £100 credit - it was for a refund that I was expecting, but I had asked the company in question (twice) to refund to a different card as I knew I was closing my MS card. I had been wondering why I hadn't recevied the refund on my other card!

Anyhow, it looks like if you pester them enough, you can get (at least some of) your cashback eventually.
