Porto Bello, no I have no ideas at all.

The last one similar to yours I just emailed back and said basically what you said- that I had quoted postage for a rigid envelope and if they wanted a box it would be another £2 (or whatever) and did they want that invoiced or were they happy that as a power seller selling dozens of similar things a week my packaging was good enough. (I might have made it sound more polite than that).

Just sold an item and have received this message:
Hello, we just won a bid for the item and we have a favor to ask you. Can you please make sure the shipping package has the eBay item numbers on it?
For those of you who are going to separate an item into more than one box, it would be much appreciated if you numbered the packages. (e.g 1/2 2/2) Also, if we need to specify the size, color or any information for the item to be shipped out, please remind us to inform you.
Last but not least, please include all correct items that are shown in the picture and/or your description.
Never seen anything like it! Is this common? I have just looked at the buyer - over 2k feedback, only ever bought never sold, claims to be a business, very, very mixed items bought. Odd?! Or I have I been 'lucky' never to have had something like this before?!

Sounds like they could be selling on and possibly looking to directly ship on receipt!

Thanks, I've a feeling that if I simply send it a rigid envelope, my DSRs will get hammered, so I've bitten the bullet and asked the buyer if they would like to upgrade to a more substantial level of packaging, of their own choice, at their own cost... for this 99p item.

I think the answer may be a very long-winded refusal and hammered DSRs anyway, but hey, I tried! ;)

Mine said they were happy with my rigid mailer and I think they left me a 4* for communication and post and packing in the end with 5* for the other 2.

I've had a very similar message from a buyer as well. It arrived immediately after the auction and 3 days before they paid! I then got another message a day later reminding me to post it - they hadn't even paid at that point, and then another one checking that it had been posted as they hadn't received it (which arrived about the day after they finally paid, and after I had told them it was posted).

    It really irritated me!
