    Hi everyone,

    Hope you are all well?

Just signing in with latest totals.

Used £61.10 of stock this week - 4 lots of DR meat from the freezer (charge myself £5 a time for this) plus totted up the amount of loo roll, and packed lunch bits we have used. Also needed dog food out of stores.

Have just placed another DR order to come on Thursday. Totals are now:

    Stock value £190
    2nd purse £20
    Third purse £21.10 :j

    Not too shabby :D

    Hey peeps

Just thought I'd mention that when I was in Icy today they had some really good offers on a few things.

    Frosted Shreddies - 750g box (500g plus 50% extra) for £1!!!

Kettle chips (lightly salted, s&v and another flavour) 75p per bag

I think there were some other cereals that were £1 a box. Thought I'd mention it just in case it was helpful to anyone. ;)

Had a clear out of my kitchen cupboard and have £10 this month to put in my 2nd purse so will get topping Mossy's Market back up again! :D

    Hi Everyone,

I need some help please! I'd love to join in the 2nd purse thread but I'm struggling to get my head around it all. I'm on pain medication that makes my brain fuzzy, I struggle to learn new things and my boss has recently descriubed me as flakey!

Can anyone explain it in a way that's really easy to understand and work?

Sorry to be a pain - I'm trying but struggling!

    Hi Midger

The way i think about it is like running your own shop. Your 2nd purse is the till of the shop, you make purchases of "shop stock" out of the 2nd purse (when items are reduced) & when you "buy" something to use from the shop you pay (the normal/full amount) from your normal grocery budget into the "shop" ie 2nd purse. Therefore the shop makes profit (the difference between the full and reduced prices). You set a 'float' for your till/2nd purse, if your till/2nd purse goes over this float you move the extra to the 3rd purse(shop's bank/saving account)

Hope this helps........(i'm not always the best at explaining things!!):D

  • Hello, not been able to get on line for a while so would just line to record latest balances. Used £50.70 of stock from QC's and added my monthly £20.00, so 2nd purse currently stands at £70.70. Need coffee badly and I've seen some Nescaf! 300g for £4.00 in Mr T so will stock up on that tomorrow. Will update again end of the week. Hope you all enjoy what's left of the weekend.
