Hi Midger, you can choose to do whichever you like
it might be easier to just start with an empty purse...although I would do a stocktake so you know what is in your cupboards, as often we can save pennies by making meals from the things we already have. For example on Tuesday my OH really wanted a pizza...but we had puff pastry and loads of veg in the fridge. So we made some HM pizzas instead and used some delicious chutney as the sauce, it was lush and didn't cost us a dime as it was already in the house

Right it's almost payday and I'm going to get back into 2nd pursing as we keep spending too much money on everything except loo roll and baked beans!!! So I'm going to take £50 startup loan this month and will buy staples, rice etc...then hide them in the ottoman bed
Then when we come to do the grocery shopping I'll get the OH to give me money from the grocery budget for the bits we need instead of giving it to the SM...not sure how he'll deal with this as not sure he'll quite understand it, but at least I can try

Hi everyone,
It's Friday and also payday :j so time to tot up the spends.
£19 going into 2nd purse for items used this past week. £20 February payment also going into 2nd purse.
Bought bulk order of dog food last week, and also got a bargain loo roll stash today in T's express (74p for 4 x springforce - I bought 7 packs as we have 3 loos in our house)
Totals now stand at:
2nd purse: £34.96
3rd purse: £0 (still)
Stock total: £202.90
I have lots of DR meat in the freezer, so will be trying to use this in February. This should (should) mean that I have some profit to transfer into 3rd purse this month. Fingers crossed
Hope everyone else is doing okay.
