  • Sorry to see you go rosyq :(

I've been terrible this year, too, but am hoping to make a better go of it in 2013. I plan to do a stock take of Helen's Hideaway tonight if I get back from work in time so that I'm all ready to start the year SP-ing ;)

I probably wont make it back here for a day or two so will wish you all a very happy new year in 2013.

    Happy new year everyone!

As I had promised myself, I did a stock take to start afresh this year.

My total stock comes in at £177.55 to start 2013 with. I will start transferring £10 a week to SP account from Monday and then cut it back down to £10 a fortnight, then per month as my supply builds up.

Looking forward to a happy year ahead :D

    Hi everyone,

Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all had a fab time

Re: DR meat skilly - the beef steak mince is lovely, no shrinkage and hardly any fat. We also love the pork chops and pork sausages, both of which are coming on Saturday. The lamb mince is also good. As we are a family of 5, the steak offers they do wouldn't work for us unless dirt cheap.

Sorry to see you go rosyq - maybe see you again one day??

Will be doing a stock take over the next few days to make sure my spreadsheet is accurate, then will update with spends on Friday as usual.

Happy New Year Everyone! I lost the plot half way through last year. Although I did manage to buy a new oven door and something else which I can't remember (whoops) out of last year's third purse. So I think I will try and join in again this year if that's ok. I am number 026.

    Welcome back elizabunny!

Went ski wear shopping today with 3rd purse.

Got a ski jacket for me and DS1 plus trousers for DS1 in Co$tco, jacket, trousers for DS2, and thermals for DD, DS2, plus socks for all five of us in Decathl0n.

Total spend £210 of which £152 was 3rd purse. DH still needs to get trousers. Luckily a friend has lent DD a complete outfit plus trousers for me.

We figured that the boys would use their jackets afterwards for school, plus I will use mine for dog walking, so not too bad an investment.

6 weeks until we fly - whoop!

Now need to think of something else to save up for :D

I bet that felt great knowing that you'd saved all of that money by paying you rather than the supermarkets!

Any ideas for your next savings?
