Hi
I need some information regarding web hosting contracts. I can't find a relevant forum already in use.
I was using fasthost (a website hosting company) for a business idea. The business is no longer in use or the website. They are telling me I cannot close my account and pay off the remaining balance. Nor will they remove automatic renewal from my account either.
If I didn't want to pay the balance I could see their point, but I accept that I agreed to pay the money so I'd like to pay the balance now. Regarding auto renewal they say I need to phone after my anniversary to cancel it - by which time it would have been renewed anyway. Further more if I cancel the payment to force them to contact me I fear it will show on my credit history as a defaulting payment. I have phoned billing and accounts to discuss my issue, they were most unhelpful. And there is no email contact to put my concerns in to writing with them.
Any help or advice would be appreciated in how I can pay and close this.
Richard
