Anyone else had issues with Next sofas?

Southcoast was advocating a dedicated furniture shop though, the theory being that a shop that sells clothes (or other items) won't sell decent furniture0

What seems odd is that they are *softer* than the ones you tried in the shop - this suggests there is a problem with the sofa. Normally you'd expect it to be the other way around as sofas in a shop have been sat on so much!
Have you actually asked them for a refund? If not, go for it - they can only say no (SoGA allows them to repair, replace or refund if I remember correctly so they do have a choice, but you can still ask).
We have just bought a sofa and we also wanted a firm sofa as both hubby and I find them more comfortable. We tried a number in Next, Harveys, DFS and John Lewis and the only place we found truly comfortable sofas at a decent price was John Lewis. We ended up with a corner chaise unit for £999:

And it is really firm and comfortable (normal sofas also available). So if you can - get your money back and take it to John Lewis0
