Saving numbers
Hi, my husband has just got a new phone and needs to save the phone numbers from his Samsung Galaxy onto the sim card to put into his new phone. We can find info on how to save from the sim to the phone but not the other way around and we are hoping someone can tell us how.

When in the 'contacts' ('people') Menu > Imoprt/export.
However, I don't think that a sim card can take very many numbers.
Also I think some information will be lost when exporting to a sim card.
There are other ways of transferring contacts from one phone to another than via a sim card.0 -
what's the new phone?
If he's got the contacts snyc'd to a googlemail account, he could link the new phone to the account and sync the contacts that way.
Sim cards will onyl transfer a minimal amount of info. :cool:0 -
I struggled with the google mail sync (although it was fine on wife's phone when I didi it) just wouldn't import phone numbers just names.
In the end I just switched on bluetooth on both phones and sent them over via that, worked brilliantly.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -
Replying to an older post, but there is a easy solution now for transferring and syncing contacts. Just install IntouchApp on both your phones. It is available on all leading app stores or at apps.intch.me0
