Will pencil it into my calender now. That way I might only have to take out 2 or 3 payday loans instead of 5 or 6unimaginative_user_name wrote: »Amazingly enough Christmas is also going to be on 25th December in 2013 and 2014 as well! What a coincidence!

I don't need to save anything for it, because I don't do Christmas.0

Ah! A kindred spirit. It's nice to know I'm not alone.Bedsit_Bob wrote: »I don't need to save anything for it, because I don't do Christmas.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Of course you are not alone.
Out of interest, how completely do you not do Christmas?0 -
I save a small amount every month ready for December each year, it makes shopping far more enjoyable and less stressful knowing I have the cash available. Christmas is just one day, don't get yourself into debt to please others.
I did Christmas on the cheap one year, I mean proper MSE and partly homemade on the cheap and it was fantastic! I may well do the homemade shortbread again as it went down so well :-)0 -
We live to a budget at Christmas...£20 per person for presents. Sounds tight but we can get some really good stuff with some savvy shopping and making stuff...
As for food, we do cheap and make what we can and always have done...Christmas is not a massive thing in our house.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014

I don't want anything for Christmas. The CCJ on my credit file drops off in January, which means I'll be completely debt free. Best present ever!
:TThis thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0
