B & Q- who to complain to ?

I have to agree that B&Q s Customer Service is non existent. I had a bathroom fitted a few years ago and have sworn that I would never use them again. It was a series of disasters, starting with wrong products delivered by very grumpy men who did not want me to refuse as it was heavy. Two deliveries of damaged goods found by B&Q plumber. Long delay in finding replacements, Faulty tiling which had to be redone, a fortnight with a faulty valve on a cistern which was continually filling and leaking into pan.:eek::eek:
No return calls from Customer Services, told there was no manager in the store only duty manager, meaning a different one each day, so story had to be told every time. All this resulted in me reduced to tears of sheer frustration at my inability to get anyone to take charge of the issues.:mad::mad:
My bathroom took over nine months to install (I actually had to pay the nine months interest free credit before it was completed) I did not dare delay as the interest rates would have been extortionate.:eek:0 -
Dizzie, they beat me to it today and things have moved on a pace. They contacted me and have ordered the bits for the fridge freezer which they have confirmed that they will fit at their expense. I'll have to wait until after xmas for it all to be completed but at least it will all be done.
I hope you get your complaint dealt wwith soon.
I will appreciate your advice and the advice from everyone that replied, even the sarcastic one lol.
Grandmasu, I hate the way these companies lose interest once you've signed on the bottom line. Have they sorted it out now?0 -

Emailed them all every day, twice a day with a complaint. Happys days.0 -
Earlier this year we paid £6500 for a Cooke and Lewis from B&Q which we had installed independently - trims are now coming off of some of the cabinets - eventually they have agrred to replace the faulty parts but have asked me to get a quote for having them fitted - I dont think I should have to do this and have the hassle of arranging this but after reading other peoples experience am tempted to take them up on this.
Any thoughts0 -
Oh crap!
Only just seen this - we had a B&Q kitchen fitted recently and we too have complaints - not with the fitting (which eventually happened) but with their custumer service, lack of communication and the fact that they kept sending people to the wrong address!
What makes it more difficult for us is that we are in Guernsey and all you do is order the kitchen through our store - everything else is done by either Jersey, IOM or the UK!!!
They are bloomin useless and it's just a shame that it is like that as other places over here are extortionate in price - the same kitchen from other places would cost double!
The other rubbish thing with B&Q is that they insist on full payment up front - no other kitchen company will do that - ok 75% of the cost but not all of it - they hide behind their guarantee - which to me is worth less than toilet paper!0 -
Yes they truly are unbelievably poor with customer relations - I'm going to have another go at them to have them replace and fit the faulty part - I'll let you know what happens0

Course it's fair to ask you to get a quote, they didn't fit it and also they want to make sure you are not trying to rip them offThe Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!
