Hi guys please help I have recently asked for my barclay card statements to be sent in paper format not online and have discovered that I am paying PPI. My card was originally with egg so thanks to barclaycard I realise I must have been paying PPI with egg now here is the bad news I have no paperwork and cant remember when I took the egg card out or how much PPI I have paid over the years. Do I write to ehh or barclaycard as they have taken over my account. I am really annoyed because whenver PPI has been mentioned I have always said that I never take it out but apparently I have there was a long time I did not have a computer so just used to rely on my direct debit coming out and not worried about it please help!

I no longer even have my card because I cut it up when I got my barclaycard

If you can't remember when you took it out and have no paperwork, it might be difficult claiming that you do remember turning down PPI.

Reclaim PPI & Other Insurance
to see whether you might have a case for it being missold and if you may then what steps to take.

You could check your credit reports.
£2 for statutory ones, or Noddle (Call Credit) is free (not just a free trial but on-going).

I would suggest being a bit more pro-active about checking statements in future, but I guess you've realised that.
