Do you check broadband speed before you move house?

I didn't when I last moved 15 years ago, but things have changed a lot since then. (Broadband wasn't so prevalent). It would certainly be one of the things I factor in to any potential future move.
PS - nice to see a real discussion thread here for a change.

No, because when I moved into present house I was on "dial up" anyway. It was only when, in 2007, I changed to b/b and realised that being rural and the distance from my exchange determined the speeds I achieve/d.
However, for what I use b/b for, it wouldn't be one of the top priorities to be considered if moving elsewhere.
I do like the faster speeds but dial up was more than adequate for my needs, possibly not now as I occasionally watch something on BBC iPlayer or Youtube. Although it wouldn't be the end of the world if it were not possible.0 -
I didn't used to. But I definitely will next time.0
