Aligerdie I would have thought ski stuff would be going pretty cheaply at the moment. Obviously the closer you leave it to ski season the more expensive it will get.
Off to Matalan tomorrow to investigate flannelette sheets I neglected to buy last year.0 -
Storage heaters are terrible! They cost a fortune, don't heat anything apart from the two inches of air above them and are really easy to burn yourself on!
My mum's flat has a combination of storage heaters and gas ones, I hate them. I don't know why builders don't get out of the Stone Age and just put in CH (the flat is only about 10 years old)“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I had storage heaters in my very first house and they were useless as many have said. Cold in the day and evening but slightly warmer in the night when i was in bed anyway. Will never buy a house again with them as they are not for meMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

My new flat (tenement) has storag heaters. I've just been thinking along the lines of, I still don't have heating as the old flat had none at all. Therefore prepping to survive without a heat source. That said, still got windows open 24/7 - its nippy but I need the fresh air!
Think I saw that it could be a cold autumn, certainly starting to feel like one.:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Please could someone advise where is best and cheapest for fleece blankets? I would like 2 with patterns like zebra print and spotty. 1 extra large 1 200x240 and 1 large 1. I've looked on fleabay and found some but wondered if there were any cheaper than £18.
Thanks
Kirsty
Try car boot sales. Not sure whereabouts you are, but I went to one just off the M62 near Castleford, and a trader was selling brand new ones - really big fluffy ones (not fleece but the soft furry stuff) and I got a sort of leopard print one in browns and white. Got home and we all 3 fought over it, so went back the following week and bought another. £10 each. All different colours, sizes, patterns. Mine are used on the sofas, and big enough to cover a 3 seaterBossymoo
