    are you using a liquid food colour? try using a gel/paste instead, you get much better colours and dont use half as much :)

    Probably a silly question, but does the cake itself NEED to be pink or could you just ice it with pink icing? That might be easier?

    Yeah that would be easier but not what I want. Where can I buy the colour gel that isn't from the internet

    we have a little shop here that sells cake making things, or if you have a 'range' shop near you i know they sell it there too. I got a funny feeling ive seen it in tesco too....but im not 100% on that
