is it worth having sub sections for FB only stuff, etc?

It'a a question that's been asked many times before and will continue to be asked.
The mere fact that we now have to add FB or TWITTER to titles shows how social media comp numbers have grown massively in last 12 months and I'm afraid that I agree, however much people hate them, they will continue to grow in numbers.
Personally I would love a thread just for fb and twitter, it makes them quicker and easier to enter and keeps the main board free for compers who don't like them.
A thread like the dailies where new ones are added as they come up would work well I would have thought.

Totally agree. At the moment, I'm subscribed to threads and forums and get daily emails with the new threads for me to look through and enter any comps I want - I'd certainly welcome a Twitter & Facebook thread to do the same, but as has been pointed out, it would take dedication from the more hardcore Twitter and Facebook compers to keep posting these quick-fire comps on here for us all to see.
In the meantime, what do people do to keep track of these comps? Is there a group on FB to join/people to friend who post these comps? Who to follow on Twitter? Like the regular posters on here, if there are MSEers who know exactly where to go to get regular updates on FB and Twitter, then if that knowledge becomes better known, there could be volunteers to post these comps.Au-D '12: boxers, Ben & Holly Live family ticket, Cinema tickets, Chocolate, Children's book, Chessington WoA family ticket

Could we not just carry on with the OP using FB or TWITTER to the name of the thread as a lot already do? you have to read the thread title anyway so it's not making any extra work really is it? And to be honest, we all have a back button if you don't want to enter.
Am just very grateful for all the people who take the time to post, in whatever section. Thank youSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

The problem with that is that the fb and tw ones sometimes end so quickly they are missed because there are so many posted on a daily basis on the main board.
Having them all in one dedicated thread or sub section means more people would see them and they would be faster to post so it's actually less workA strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others.0
