How long to repair

Hi -- had to return my phone to the o2 shop as it was broken. They have sent it off to be repaired -- Can anyone inform me how long before they returned it.

I think it depends on the phone and the fault.
Wasn't it more reasonable to ask in the shop rather than here?
  • I thought that was what a forum was for Asking Questions and getting polite replies -- perhaps i am wrong!!!
  • From experience with other networks (not specifically O2), they'll take around 2 weeks from start to finish.
Takes a few days to get the phone delivered and looked at by the right people.
They'll then test it, decide whether it needs repaired or replaced and then they'll do the work or get in touch with you to let you know you're getting a new handset.

In some cases, the phone may not longer be manufactured and you'll need to agree on a replacement...if this happens to you, don't just accept the first one they offer you as they'll normally try and shift whatever they're wanting rid of the most...
  • Many thanks for your reply --- just the answer i required
The phone is only 5 weeks old and the screen went really dark -- so dark it was impossible to see.
    Thanks again, much appreciated

No, you are right. You are free to ask any questions here, but if you want a reliable information, not just some replies, it is often more reasonable to ask in some other place. In your case you had every opportunity to do this without any extra efforts.
