TalkTalk loyalty customer deals vs new customer

Many customers like myself are happy to pay the full cost and not renew the contract for another 12 months. I am pleased I did renew and wish I had done this for the past 3 years as they will always offer deals to keep you as a customer for another 12 months but it may not always be better than what you can get when joining another provider - although they will likely match it.
I am now going to pay 12 months line rental in full saving £60 over the year. My monthly bill will be £1.25 , working out £10.75 per month instead of £21. I don't think I can get better than that elsewhere so happy that I didnt accept the offer of £3.25 discount yesterday which was only for 9 months.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
But if you opt for Line Rental Saver then you are effectively locking yourself in for 12m anyway, since it's not refundable should you leave before 12m. So you might as well opt for a new 12m minimum term and any discounts resulting from that.No free lunch, and no free laptop

hi vix, i know this is not a reply to what you asked so apologies in advance, but I'd like to ask how you find TT? I have just signed up (though I have until November before it's installed so can cancel up until then- as we're a new build & no lines in yet) & only seem to be able to find bad reviews...0

I was a bit dubious about joining TalkTalk at first due to all the bad reviews I heard and read but decided to go ahead knowing I had the cooling off period to cancel if I had any problems so wouldn't be tied in to the 18 month contract. Not every provider is perfect and they all get bad reviews but not everyone who is happy with the service will write reviews so you only get to read many bad reviews which can put you off.
To be honest, I have never needed to contact Customer Services in the 3+ year I have had TalkTalk. I was only looking around now to see if I could lower the cost from £21 or if it would be better renewing the contract for another 12 months. I am happy TalkTalk have gave me a good deal for renewing my contract so now have no reason to move providers. I just wish I had renewed every year as I could have saved quite a bit money rather than paying £21 each month since joining.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0
