    NSD12 for me today!

Also got some work via my agency as well today. Although they didn't call until 8:15, for me to go to a school a 25 minute drive away. I was slightly concerned I'd be late. But fortunately their school day didn't start until 9am, unlike the 8:50am like many of the other local schools.

Tomorrow afternoon, all being well, I am off for an "interview" with another local agency, with a hope to getting more work after half-term! Let's see!

  • Hi there - new to the site, deciding to try and sort my life out, and NSD seems like a fun way to start! October is nearly done, but guessing November starts a new challenge?!

For rest of October, going for 5 days out of 8 remaining... it's bold, but what the hey...

  • Nargle, thank you, that is just the loveliest thought!! I definitely thought of all you guys today, when i felt myself wobble & think i managed to get through it better than i expected, just a waiting game now....

I'm pleased that you feel it went well.:)

Well done on resisting temptation and getting an nsd in the bargain!:j

So,where have you put the trampoline?:D

Hello everyone, not a NSD today as did some food shopping. Spent a bit more than planned but we are having guests to stay this coming weekend so that is the reason. And I got the stuff from A1di$ so it would have cost a bit more if I had gone to one of the larger conglomerates so I have been a teensy bit cost conscious, really I have!

Bdini - glad you got through yesterday ok. Your tale of the trampoline reminds me of a novel by Tom Sharpe - one of his characters, a chap called Henry Wilt, has a wife who is not exactly the brightest star in the universe. She went through a keep fit craze and purchased a large trampoline, then invited the next door neighbour round to try it out. Trouble was, it was so big, they had no room in the house .....so she put it in the garden.....in the greenhouse. Neighbour was in hospital for some time I believe...:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I recommend you search for the Wilt novels by Tom Sharpe, they are several years old but absolutely hilarious.

BigMumma - not surprising you don't remember much of the hoedown, considering what you were doing at the time with that banjo. I assure you this Halloween do of ours will be a refined and elegant affair with no riffraff allowed in. Igor is dead set on having embroidered lacy tablecloths everywhere (black ones, in keeping with the theme), cucumber sandwiches and fairy cakes.

(No, Igor, you do not put tartare sauce in with the cucumber. And leave the wings out of the fairy cakes, please, they stick in my teeth...)

Good evening all there are some impressive NSD figures around.A big well done to all. I am feeling very pleased with my first attempt as I have got to my target of
    10 NSD :j
This challenge has really helped change my spending habits along with writing everything down. I so badly wanted to get to 10 that I did not buy chocolate. I think I have been taken over by some kind of alien life force :D Love P0lly x

  • Well it was a very spendy day yesterday with a new laptop finally purchased (hopefully will be delivered tomorrow). Pleased that the one I saw was out of stock as I found £20 cheaper online and will get some cashback as well:money:.

Also decided to get in some medication before the cold season starts..........well dark rum actually but it works much better than paracetamol (or at least if it doesn't you don't notice:D).

Better news today with NSD #21 safely captured:j

Well the 6ft trampoline is still in front of the house waiting for the fly tipping team to collect it!! Think the local kids who were jumping & shrieking like mad on it tonight are hoping they take their time though!!

Nargle i'm definitely going to look out for those books... but i might wait till it's gone, as i'm already having nightmares about it flying through the front window if the wind picks up!!

flubberyzing, great news about today's work!!

Number 13 for me today :j i've been good again & only spent on bus fare to Turkish class which i don't count, but it is very cruel that i have to wait for the bus home outside a takeaway when i'm starving!!
