  • i'd second the po box warning - something i'd never noticed before - until i got an item returned for something posted to poland. hadn't considered there might be problems for a po box address, turned out as item was meant to be signed for and the couriers couldn't get a signature, the item was returned to me. never again will i make that error!
as for amazon sales abroad, my books are listed uk only, but on occasion foreign buyers have approached me i have replied saying i will need to increase amazon price to factor in my excess posatge costs and they have agreed to increase. i would not list books for intl sale though as postal costs are so varied with different book weights. one intl sale cost the buyer £70 extra to courier - they were happy to pay. i didn't earn anything from this p&p excess, but then i factor n my profit via book purchase price anyway.
best of luck with yr sales

ps never had a problem with italy, but most of my postings are northern italy.

Hello techspec. I suggest you pm me if you have any questions as ive had posts removed in the past. As I said above, it appears to be an ebay love forum and some people don't like my advice. Ill answer this though. 4 times is an average, it depends on your activity, history, what u sell etc etc. If you are "big time" you can get away with more. The first warning, the ad gets removed. 2nd, u get a 7 day suspension, then 2 weeks. If you are "lucky" you'll then get a month suspension. If not, that's it... account gone.

As for time scale, that varies. If you get 1 warning, its away in something like several months but each one then adds more time making it harder. That's the thing, you get vero for a shirt and magazine. I know of someone who got banned for selling car wheel nuts.... yes, pathetic.

Just thought id help you out with po box info. You may think a po address is - po box 101 Belfast etc. Thats not always the case.

Po box nowadays can be suites or flats. Such as suite 22, antrim road,
Belfast. You cant tell the difference
