Yes it does! I can't believe something that has caused such annoyance over nine years has been fixed in a couple of minutes. But are there any other 'USB notification errors' I could now be missing out on?
BTW there is no 'properties' option on 'My Computer' in XP. You can, however, get to Device Manager from there via Control Panel then System.

Happy to help, glad it worked for you. No other 'USB notification errors' that I'm aware of that you could be missing out on, but I stand to be corrected. It also annoyed the heck out of me, and I was equally glad to be rid of it....I knew what was going on, but did n't want constant reminding and having to close the message.
