  • Hi chums and Hugs and good vibes to all who need them at the moment Great news about your drop-in chap Monnagran and good news also about you OHs job bitsy.I think we could all do with some 'cheery up' news at the moment.I sometimes feel I don't even want to watch the evening news on t.v. anymore as its getting grimmer by the day out there.
Today in Kent it started of grey and cloudy but has now brightened up a bit I have a small line of washing out having a bit of a blow .Tonights dinner I am having at lunchtime as DD and her OH have a parents evening so I have the boys to sort out .
I will finish up the left over cauli from yesterday also the string beans and I thought I would have the veg with a couple of sausages and some left over salad spud topped off with left over gravy so lunch/dinner will cost nothing as its bits left over from yesterday I love that sort of meal as apart from reheating I have no cooking to do :):)
Right off to have my meal and have a good afternoon and if your in the north my thoughts are with you as it looks really bad with all the flooding there
    Cheers chums JackieO xx
  • Hello everyone,
Home from work(terrible morning pain wise, ending up taking tramdol at work which I don't like doing while I'm at work as it makes me woozy and forgetful but I couldn't hold out any longer :()

Anyway, home and a wash put on, hoping I'll be able to get the towels to blow a little bit at least.

Tea will be the pasties I made the other day with home made wedges if I get round to that.

Ordered weekly shop from Mr T online as I'm having a bad week and don't feel like traipsing round there and saves us money as OH is always putting random crap in the trolley which defeats the purpose of all my planning and trying to save us money. I miss out on any yellow stickers but can't be helped and both freezers are currently full anyway.

Hope everyone is OK and hugs to those that aren't. Congratulations to others(please forgive me for not remembering names)

    Afternoon all,

Bitsy that's great news, very exciting
Hester whenever you talk about work I thank goodness I don't work in education any more, hope things improve
Hugs for all the poorlies hope you feel better soon.
Am still aching from having my tooth out but hopefully it will go soon.

Have managed to get over to Mr A today for a few baking bits, I find their flour and sugar and eggs much cheaper, they also had almonds and glac! cherries on special offer. I have plans to make Dh a cherry cake this wkend and have made chocolate brownies this afternoon for ds3 as they are his favourite. Plus not really a chocolate cake fan myself so don't have any trouble resisting them.

Weigh in this morning and another 2 lb off. Really feeling much better about the way I look now, just so much more comfortable in clothes, ah well it's only taken me 20 yrs:rotfl:

Just me for tea tonight as the boys are at football, and yes you've guessed it I am having salad. I really enjoy it though and it fills me up so I don't want to snack in the evening.

Have been invited to my db tomorrow night for tea so that will be nice.

Dh is a bit fed up at the mo as business is so quiet so hopefully he will come home in a better mood.

Right better get on, have a good evening all J x

  • Good evening all, just back from 'sitting' for my DD and her OH as they had a parents evening at Henry's school He is doing well and his teacher is pleased with him and how he has settled into the new school (only been there three weeks and already they have parents meetings !!!) DD brought in some fish and chips for the three of us as I had already fed the boys (but they did 'help Granny out' with some of the chips :)Far too many for me this late at night :):)
Tomorrow morning I have to go to Mikey's coffee morning at his school for the Macmillan Nurses fund which I always go to as its a cause so close to my heart having used them when I was poorly and going through treatment They were brilliant and couldn't do enough to help me with any queries I had.Lovely lasses and so kind.
Then in the afternoon I have History club I think its Karl Marx tomorrow.
On Saturday I have a field trip to Greenwich with the History club and we have a 'walk' with a guide to see all the historic bits .(bearing in mind I grew up not a million miles from there it will be interesting to see who knows the most about the place :):))
My sis-in-law is coming up from Faversham and is treating me to lunch as well so hopefully the sun will shine down on us as we stroll around the place.
Right I'm off for a cuppa and a read of my Ruth Rendell book 'Portabello' which I have nearly finished She is such a good writer and ties up all the loose ends in her books beautifully
Good night God Bless all here

  • 1 I weighed myself first thing and was chuffed with the numbers jumping back at me.
2 sat and did a shopping list of spices and ingredients for my trip to the Asian market.
3 went to the Asian market and bought so much stuff including meat and fresh stuff as well as spices and oils. Only came to over £50, this should last us a month.
4 chopped fresh veg up as well as fresh parsley spinach And coriander and frozen it all
5 went to mil's for tea and saved myself time and ££ off cooking hehe.
