Brown furniture, like the rosewood bureau isn't popular and has very little value, you'd be lucky to get £25 for that in an auction room.
You could put a high price on it and start haggling down - but is it worth the stress and angst?.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Unless there is great value in the pieces. To put into context I moved house in August and I left the people buying our house All the living room furniture/all kitchen white goods/a bed and all bedroom furniture from one bedroom. (All of which were less than 5 years old). They were FTB and we needed to sell so were prepared to buy new when we could.
If the buyers have been good so far with the sale I'd let them have them unless you want them or know someone else. If your parents had a favourite charity you could ask them to make a donation by cheque to there or something which might be a nice thought, as you can't put a price on them unless you really need the money.0
