bedroom furniture

I'm currently selling my mums house, we have a final offer and are waiting for probate for completion.

They want to buy some furniture in the bedroom, I have come to a complete standstill about how much it's worth. The master bedroom furniture matches the built in wardrobes so they will obviously be keen to have this.

There's some pieces of rosewood too.....

How would any one on here be able to put a price on the furniture without seeing it?

Depends on the quality, condition and modernity of the furniture.

Start at the price you paid for it and the condition it's in.
  • It's going with the house sale,

since it was my parents house and we're selling for probate I have no idea about price.

Second hand chests like in the pics go for around £40 and the bedside cabinets about £15/£20 each.

Let me get this straight - you've agreed the sale price of the house, to include this furniture, and you want to put a value on the furniture.....why?
  • no, the furniture is not included in the house sale price but the purchasers have taken a liking to some pieces and would like to pay extra......
my head is spinning a bit at the moment so just need someone to smack me round the back of the head and tell me not to get so stressed out about it!

    What's the diifficulty?

Just give them the stuff, since you'll be getting over £250k for the house and the price of a couple of bedside cabinets is going to make barely a sniff of difference to that figure...... if you're talking about proper Rosewood furniture elsewhere that isn't in the pics, fair enough, but the bedroom furniture that we can see in the listing is a prime candidate to throw in with the house at no cost.....

Thanks, that was the smack to the back of head I needed! will sort out a price for the rosewood (the bureau does make an appearance in the living room photo).

Anything that matches the fitted give them free, if the other bits are antiques/ solid wood get a man in to value them. If they are new-ish check eBay sold prices and add a bit.
