I definitely came across these when we were considering changing bathroom a few months ago, although can't quite remember where. We looked in all the usual places, Ikea, Wickes, B&Q etc so will have been one of those.

    BTW it's a basin not a sink.

I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • The only one I've ever seen with the basin on top of the cistern was supplied and installed by B&Q. Plumbers merchants can probably order them in.

I presume the tap only gives cold water. It looks like this is how the cistern fills, so after flushing you get a set time in which to use the tap before it cuts off.

Would a small corner basin fit?

    thank you
    will try B&Q
  • Yes B&Q definitely do these. I have seen them in store in the last couple of weeks.

The basin is very small but a very nifty idea if you really have no space for a separate one.

Beany, we had the same problem. When we moved in, there was just a toilet in there, and we wanted to find a way to get a sink in without it feeling too cramped. Regular quarter-circle corner sinks were too big. We found a discontinued rectangular one that fit well:

Twyford Indulgence INDULGENCE 400 BASIN 1 RH TAP obsolete
    (bought it here: http://www.mytub.co.uk/product_information.php?product=429288)

We did this at the start of the year, so I'm not sure if they'd still be able to get hold of them, but it looks like it from their website.

We also fitted a B&Q compact toilet (collect only from the store for some reason; no delivery):
    http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/bathrooms/takeaway-bathrooms/takeaway_toilets/Cooke-and-Lewis-Fabian-Close-Coupled-WC-White-11477517

Smallest measurements we could find and it works really well. It seemed a little low when we fit put it in, but it's great. Soft close also makes it seem a bit more expensive. The whites of the sink and toilet may not match absolutely perfectly - on separate walls we don't notice at all, and we painted the walls a very light cream so as not to highlight any differences.

And, finally, we put in a slim upright radiator, which we squeezed in inside the door on the same wall as the long side of the sink:

This one was the slimmest we could find in a proper radiator.
