He's on DLA Higher Rate and Mobility Higher Rate and yes :D he IS my partner (fiance actually) but we cannot live together as my sons and I wont fit into his accomodation (not enough rooms - we have 4 children between us!) :rotfl:just waiting for all our kids to leave home and then see what the council offer him!

    Thanks xx

Are you saying he's in social housing? Because if so, it is worth finding out if moving in would bump him up to a higher priority for a bigger place due to overcrowding.

If you are both private tenants, your LHA will increase and cover the cost of a larger property - the Direct Gov website will give you an idea of how many bedrooms you would qualify for and the LHA rate.
